ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Continuing Anglican movement

Okay kiddo, so you know how some people like to go to church on Sundays? Well, a long time ago, there was one big church called the Anglican Church that lots of people went to. But some people didn't agree with everything the Anglican Church believed in or did, so they decided to start their own churches that still followed some of the Anglican beliefs.

These churches are part of something called the Continuing Anglican Movement. Even though they are not part of the big Anglican Church anymore, they still believe in some of the same things and do some of the same things in their own churches. It's like having a group of friends who all like playing soccer, but some of them like playing on grass while others like playing on turf.

In the Continuing Anglican Movement, there are different groups of churches that have their own leaders and ways of doing things, kind of like how different families have different traditions. They all believe in God and do things like have services on Sundays, pray, and read the Bible. But they might have different opinions on things like how to pick their leaders or what kind of music to sing in church.

Overall, the Continuing Anglican Movement is like a bunch of smaller groups of people who still believe in God and still like going to church, but they have decided to do things a little differently than the big Anglican Church.
