Contract

A contract is like a promise. It is like a written promise that a certain thing will happen, and if it doesn't happen then there are certain things that will happen. So if one person makes a promise to another person and they write that promise down in a document, they have made a contract. That written document has to be signed by both people and then it is a legal thing that has to be followed.
