Cooperative learning is when groups of kids work together on projects or learning activities. It helps each student learn from the others in their group how to solve problems, to help each other understand new information and to practice teamwork. Groups usually have 3-5 children, and each member should have an important role in the group to help it work well. The group is given an assignment or activity, and each member should work together to think of ideas, answer questions or complete tasks. Usually each person in the group will get a chance to talk and share their ideas. Working together in a group often makes it easier and more fun to learn new things.
