Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) is like a type of special clock that is used all over the world. This clock is used to know what time it is all over the world, which is important because when it's 12 o'clock in one place it's not 12 o'clock everywhere else. So UTC helps make sure that we all use the same time no matter where we are.
