Coptic monasticism

Coptic Monasticism is a way of life for people who choose to devote their lives to following the teachings of the Coptic Christian Church. To do this, they leave their homes and family to live in a monastic community, or group of people who dedicate their lives to their faith. Monks dedicate themselves to prayer, fasting, and learning about their faith and also help with the needs of others, like providing food and education. By living away from worldly distractions, they are able to better focus on their relationship with God.
