Coracle

A coracle is a small, round boat made of wicker or wooden supports, covered in animal hides or canvas. It's kind of like a bowl that you can sit in while you float on the water. People have been using them for thousands of years, especially in places like India and Wales where they were used for fishing and transportation.

Imagine you have a big bowl and you want to use it to float on the water. You could use tree branches to make a kind of basket or frame for the bowl that will help keep it in shape. Then you can cover the frame with pieces of animal hide, canvas or even plastic sheeting to make it waterproof. And voila! You have a coracle!
