ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Core Storage

Core storage is like a big container that holds all the important stuff in your computer, kind of like a toy box that holds your favorite toys. This container is protected by a special lock that keeps all your things safe and secure.

Just like a toy box, your computer's core storage can hold many different things such as pictures, videos, music, documents, and even the programs that you use to do things on your computer. These things are stored in little compartments within the container so that they can be easily found and used when you need them.

The lock on the container is very important because it keeps all your things safe from any bad things that may want to damage them, like viruses or hackers. The lock is so strong that it can even protect your things if your computer gets turned off or has a problem.

When you use your computer, it takes things out of the container and uses them to help you do whatever you want to do. When you are done, your computer puts everything back in the container so that it stays nice and organized for the next time you need something.
