ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Corn construction

Corn construction means using corn-based materials to build things like houses, furniture, and other structures. Just like we can make things out of wood, metal, or plastic, we can make things out of corn too!

But how does that work exactly? Well, first we have to turn the corn into a material that is strong and sturdy enough to build with. This material is called "corn board" and it is made by grinding up corn cobs and stalks, then pressing them together with a special glue made from natural ingredients like soybean oil. The end result is a board that looks a bit like particleboard or plywood, but it's all made from corn!

Once we have our corn boards, we can use them to build all sorts of things. For example, we might use them to make walls or flooring for a house, or to create a table or bookshelf. Because corn board is made from natural, renewable materials, it's also considered to be an eco-friendly option for construction.

Overall, corn construction is a unique and sustainable way to create durable and practical items using one of our most versatile crops. Plus, it's always fun to know that the things we use every day can be made from such unexpected sources!
