Corporal punishment in the home

Corporal punishment is when a grown-up hits you to try and stop you from doing something wrong or make you do something they want you to do. It can be things like spanking, slapping or pinching. In the home, grown-ups are not allowed to use physical force, like hitting, as a way of punishing children. Instead, parents and caregivers should talk to children and help them learn to make better choices.
