Cosmic censorship hypothesis

The cosmic censorship hypothesis is a big idea about the universe. It says that something called a singularity--a super-small, super-dense point that can have a big pull on objects around it--cannot be seen from the outside. This means that if you were flying around in space, you would not be able to see what’s happening inside a singularity. The idea is to “protect” us from these extreme objects and the secrets they might hold.
