Council of Seleucia-Ctesiphon (410)

Okay kiddo, let’s talk about the Council of Seleucia-Ctesiphon in the year 410.

In ancient times, there was a group of people called the Church that believed in Jesus Christ. Some people had different ideas about how they should believe in him, and this caused disagreements and arguments.

The Council of Seleucia-Ctesiphon was a big meeting where lots of people who believed in Jesus Christ got together to talk about what they believed and to try and come up with some common agreements.

The meeting happened in a place called Seleucia-Ctesiphon, which is now in modern day Iraq and Iran.

People talked about lots of different things, like how to pick leaders for the Church and how to make sure everyone was teaching the same things.

They also talked about some ideas that some people had about Jesus and whether they were right or wrong.

After a lot of talking and discussing, they came up with a list of things that everyone agreed on. This was called a creed, and it helped people in the Church to know what they should all believe.

Overall, the Council of Seleucia-Ctesiphon was an important step in helping the Church to have unity and to agree on what they believed in.
