ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Counties of Iran

Hey kiddo! So, you know how we live in a country called the United States and it's divided into states like California, New York, Texas, etc? Well, Iran is another country that is also divided into smaller parts called counties.

Now, each county in Iran has a different name and is home to different cities and towns where people live, just like how we have different cities and towns in our states. Each county also has its own government and leaders who help make important decisions for the people who live there.

There are a total of 31 provinces in Iran, and each province is made up of several different counties. Some of the counties in Iran include Tehran, Isfahan, Shiraz, and Mashhad.

So, just like how we have different states with different cities and towns, Iran has provinces with different counties where people live and work. Pretty cool, huh?
