Cradle of Humankind

The Cradle of Humankind is a place in South Africa where scientists have found many bones and other remains of our ancient human ancestors. It is called the Cradle of Humankind because it is where human beings first began. The bones and other remains that have been found in the area are of ancient human-like creatures that lived in the area millions of years ago. Scientists study these ancient bones and other remains to learn more about our ancestors and how they lived.
