Critical cartography

Critical cartography is a type of mapping that uses maps to help people understand things differently. It can be used to look at our environment in new ways and to explore important social issues like inequality and power. Instead of just looking at a map as something that shows where things are, critical cartographers look at it as a tool that can be used to explore the world and its social and political issues. This type of mapping allows us to ask questions about who has access to resources, and how different people are affected by governments and policies.
