Criticisms of Marxism

Marxism is a type of political philosophy developed by Karl Marx. It is based on the idea that people who work for companies, like factories and farms, should have more economic power and should receive the profits from their work, rather than the owners of the companies.
Critics of Marxism argue that it does not take into account other important factors in society such as culture and tradition. They also argue that Marxist ideas could lead to repression of individual rights, such as freedom of speech and also to a too-powerful government. Moreover, many argue that the Marxian vision of a stateless, classless society is not realistic, and not possible to achieve, because of human nature.
