Crosshead piston

A crosshead piston is like a little engine worker that helps a big engine do its job better. When an engine works, it needs to move a lot of parts around to make the wheels go. One of these parts is called the piston, which moves up and down inside the engine to make power.

But sometimes, the piston needs a little helper to make sure it's moving just right. That's where the crosshead comes in! The crosshead is like a little arm that connects to the top of the piston and helps it move smoothly.

Imagine you're playing with a toy car, and you have a little driver who is moving the pedals up and down to make the car move forward. They might get tired or need some help to move their feet the right way. That's what the crosshead does for the piston - it helps it move up and down smoothly, even when the engine is working really hard.

Overall, the crosshead piston is part of how a big engine works, by making sure all of its parts are moving together in the right way.
