ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Crown land

Crown land is land owned by the government. That means it is not owned by private people, companies, or other organisations. The government looks after the land and makes sure it is used in a way that is good for the environment and for the people who live near it. For example, some crown land might be turned into a park or a public beach. Some people might be allowed to use crown land to farm or to build houses on it. However, the government still owns the land so they must give permission before anyone can use it.
