ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Crown prince

Okay kiddo, imagine if you are the king of your own kingdom. You have a big castle and many people who work for you, right? Now, you know that one day, when you get old, you won't be able to rule the kingdom anymore. That's where the crown prince comes in.

The crown prince is like the backup king. He is usually the oldest son of the king and queen. When the king gets too old or passes away, the crown prince will take over and become the new king. He will wear a fancy crown (hence the name "crown prince") and have all the power and responsibilities that the king had before.

But being a crown prince is not just about wearing a fancy crown and ordering people around. It requires a lot of hard work and training. The crown prince has to prepare himself to be a good king one day. He has to learn how to make important decisions, lead the people, and solve problems.

So, in short, the crown prince is like the next in line to become the king, and he has to work hard to become a good one.
