Cultural divide

A cultural divide is when different people speaking different languages, following different customs, and believing different things live separately in the same area. It can mean they do not mix, but it can also mean they do not understand or appreciate each other's beliefs and customs. For example, if a city has a large Spanish-speaking population and a large English-speaking population living nearby, but the two groups don't interact much, that could be a cultural divide.
