DC Comics v Mark Towle

DC Comics is a big company that makes comic books about superheroes like Superman and Batman. Mark Towle, on the other hand, makes cars that look like the Batmobile from the comic books.

DC Comics got upset because they think that they own the rights to everything related to the Batmobile, even if it's just a toy or a car that looks like it. They said that Mark Towle was copying their idea and that he couldn't do that without their permission.

Mark Towle didn't agree with DC Comics, and he said that he wasn't copying anything because he was just making a car that looked like something from a comic book. He thought that he should be allowed to do that because it wasn't exactly the same as the original Batmobile.

They both went to court to see who was right. The court listened to both sides and looked at all the evidence. In the end, the court decided that DC Comics was right, and Mark Towle had to stop making his Batmobiles because they were too similar to the original ones from the comic books.

So, just like how you can't copy someone else's drawing and say it's yours, Mark Towle couldn't copy the Batmobile and say it was his without getting permission from DC Comics first.
