DO-178B

Do-178B is a set of standards for software used in airplanes. It helps plane makers and engineers make sure the software is safe for passengers and will do what it's supposed to do. The standards include things like making sure the software is tested and checked for bugs, so the airplanes don't have any technical problems and the software works correctly. They also include things like making sure there's a back-up plan in case something happens and how to keep the software up to date. All together, the Do-178B standards help keep airplane passengers and crew safe!
