DU spectrophotometer

A spectrophotometer is a scientific tool that is used to figure out how much light is being absorbed by a certain substance. People use it to learn more about things like chemicals and molecules. When light hits a substance, some of it gets absorbed and turned into energy. The spectrophotometer measures how much light is absorbed by the substance and uses that to figure out what that substance is made of. It's kind of like shining a flashlight on something and seeing how much light gets reflected back – but with a lot fancier equipment!
