Okay kiddo, have you ever heard of the Darvaza Gas Crater? It's a giant hole in the ground that's on fire!
A long time ago, some scientists were drilling for natural gas in Turkmenistan (that's a country in Central Asia), but something went wrong. The ground collapsed and the hole got bigger and bigger.
To make matters worse, the hole was leaking gas that was flammable, meaning it could catch fire easily. So, some people decided to light a match and throw it in the hole to see what would happen.
And guess what? The hole caught on fire and has been burning for over 50 years! That's a really long time.
Now, people come from all over the world to see the burning crater, but you shouldn't try it yourself. It's not safe and definitely not something you should play around with.
