Database management system

A Database Management System (or DBMS) is like a filing cabinet for websites and other computer programs. Inside the filing cabinet are folders, and inside the folders are pieces of information like names, addresses, phone numbers, or even pieces of code for computer programs. The DBMS has special tools which help people change and store information in the filing cabinet better and faster.
