Dehydration

Dehydration is when your body doesn't have enough water. Imagine your body is a garden and water is like the sunshine that helps your garden grow. Just like your plants need water to survive and grow, your body needs water to work properly.

When you don't drink enough water or lose too much water from your body, you can get dehydrated. This can happen when you sweat a lot, when you go to the bathroom too much or when you don't drink enough water.

Dehydration can make you feel very tired, thirsty, dizzy or even give you a headache. It can also make your skin look dry, make you pee less or even make your pee look darker than usual.

But don't worry, there are easy ways to avoid getting dehydrated. Drinking water and other fluids like juice, milk or soup can help your body stay hydrated. Also, try to avoid sugary drinks like soda or sports drinks, because they can actually make you more dehydrated. Eat fruits and vegetables that have a lot of water in them, like watermelon, cucumbers or grapes. And if you are outside on a hot day, make sure to stay in the shade or inside and try to wear clothes that are light and cool.

Remember, water is very important to keep our bodies healthy and happy!
