Demographics of Serbia

Serbia is a country in Europe that has a population of around 7 million people. People who live in Serbia are called Serbs. There are also many other ethnic groups in Serbia, including Hungarians, Bosniaks, Croats, Albanians, and Roma people.

In Serbia, there are more women than men, with women making up about 51 percent of the population.

Most people in Serbia speak Serbian as their first language, which uses a special alphabet called Cyrillic. However, some people speak other languages, such as Romanian, Hungarian, or Albanian, depending on where they live in the country.

Serbia has a high level of literacy, which means that many people can read and write. About 98 percent of the population can read and write.

Serbia is known for its aging population, which means that there are many people who are 65 years old or older. This is because the birth rate in Serbia has been decreasing, which means that fewer babies are being born.

Despite this, Serbia has a relatively diverse population, with many people from different ethnic backgrounds and a variety of different languages spoken.
