ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Density point

Okay kiddo, imagine you have two things that are the same size but feel very different when you hold them. Let's say one is a big fluffy pillow and the other is a heavy rock. The pillow feels light and squishy, while the rock feels hard and heavy.

Now, let's talk about density. Density tells us how much stuff (or matter) there is in a certain amount of space. So even though the pillow and the rock are the same size, the rock has more stuff in it than the pillow. That's why it feels heavier.

A density point is a specific spot in an object where the density changes. For example, imagine a cake that has different layers, like chocolate cake on the bottom and vanilla cake on top. The density point would be where the chocolate cake ends and the vanilla cake begins.

In science, density points can be really important. They help us understand what something is made of and how it behaves. And even though it might seem like a complicated idea, it's really just about how much stuff there is in a certain amount of space!
