Deuteronilus Mensae

Deuteronilus Mensae is a place on Mars that looks like a table with bumps on it.

Mars is a planet that is close to Earth but it's much colder than Earth. Deuteronilus Mensae is a special place on Mars that scientists like to study because it has different features compared to other places on Mars. It's like a big table, but it's not just flat! It has little bumps all over it, kind of like when you spill salt on the table and don't wipe it up.

Scientists really like to study Deuteronilus Mensae because they think there might be ice hiding under those bumps. You know how you put ice in your drink to make it cold? Well, scientists are curious if there's ice on Mars that can tell us about the history of Mars and how it was formed.

So, Deuteronilus Mensae is kind of like a table with bumpy salt sprinkled all over it and scientists want to look under those bumps to see if there's ice there.
