ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Developmental psychobiology

Developmental psychobiology is the study of how a person's genetics and environment interact as they grow and develop. It's like watching a baby grow up. You see how his or her body and mind change and how different experiences affect how they develop. It looks at how biology, like genetics and hormones, and environment, such as family and culture, shape a person's development. So, developmental psychobiology studies what happens when those two things interact in someone's life from the time they are a baby until they are an adult.
