Dictatorship

A dictatorship is when one person or group of people control a country or group with absolute power and authority. This usually means the people in power can make decisions without asking anyone else's opinion and don't have to listen to people who disagree. People in a dictatorship usually don't have rights, like the right to vote or speak freely, because the leaders don't want anyone to challenge their power. Dictatorships can be very dangerous places to live, since people in power don't have to listen to anyone else and can do whatever they want.
