Differential of a function

Differential of a function is a way to see how fast the function is changing. Let's say you have a function that looks like a hill. When you look at the differential of the function, it tells you how steep the hill is at different points, or how fast it's changing. It's like if you are driving a car up a hill, the differential tells you how steep the hill is.
