ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Digital electronics

Digital electronics is a type of electrical engineering that uses electricity to make circuits, networks, and machines. It is used to control, store, process, and transfer data. Digital electronics work by using voltages and currents to create a type of digital language. This language is made up of 1's and 0's that can be used to represent information. For example, the number 10 can be represented by two 1's and two 0's, which looks like this: 1010. This allows computers to store and process information more quickly than with analog electronics.
