Digital image processing
Digital Image Processing is like having a toy box full of pictures that we can play with using our computer. Just like you can change the color of a car in a coloring book by using pencils, we can change the color of a picture on our computer with special tools.
With digital image processing, we can also do things like enlarging a small picture without making it blurry or removing wrinkles or pimples from a person's face in a picture.
The computer can also help us to make the picture clearer, brighter or darker, or give it a special effect, like making it look like a painting or putting a funny hat on someone's head.
All these things make the picture look different, but we don't actually change the original picture. We just make a copy of the picture and play with it on our computer. Just like when we play with our toy box and make new and different things, we can use digital image processing to make our pictures more fun and interesting.
