ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Digital integrity

Okay, so imagine you have a toy and it's really important to you. You don't want anyone to take it apart and change the way it works because that might make it not work anymore or make it do things you don't want it to do. That's kind of like how digital integrity works.

Digital integrity means making sure that things like our computers, phones, and other devices work the way they're supposed to and that people don't change them or mess with them in a bad way. It's like keeping our digital toys safe and how we want them to be.

There are lots of ways that people can mess with our digital things, like by hacking into our accounts, stealing our information, or changing the way our devices work. But when we have digital integrity, we're making sure that those things don't happen by using things like passwords, firewalls, and other special tools.

So just like we protect our real toys and things we care about, we also need to protect our digital stuff by making sure they have digital integrity. This way, we can play, learn, and work on our devices without worrying about bad things happening.
