Dihydrogen cation

Okay kiddo! So, you know that water has H2O molecules in it, right? Well, sometimes, when water is mixed with some other substances, it can create something called a dihydrogen cation, which is basically just a molecule with one hydrogen atom that is positively charged.

Now, normally, hydrogen atoms don't carry a positive or negative charge. But when they lose an electron, they become positively charged, and that's what happens with this dihydrogen cation.

Scientists like to study dihydrogen cations because they can teach us a lot about how atoms and molecules interact with each other. Plus, they're just really cool to learn about!
