A display device is something that lets you see pictures and videos on a screen. Imagine you draw a beautiful picture with lots of colors on a piece of paper, but you want to show it to your friend who is far away. So you take a photograph of the picture with a camera and then you want to show this photo to your friend. You can do this by looking at the photo on a screen.
A screen is like a window where you can see stuff without going outside. In the same way, a display device is a tool that converts the picture or image signals into something visible on the screen. It can be a TV, a computer monitor, a projector or an electronic billboard which uses light, sound, and motion to display pictures and videos.
The screen of a display device has tiny dots called pixels that light up in different colors (red, green, blue) to create a picture. Imagine a coloring book where you paint each part of the picture with a different color; the pixels are like the shapes of the picture where you apply the colors. Together, the pixels form images that we can see on the screen.
Just like the screen of a cell phone or a tablet, display devices come in different sizes from smaller to bigger and higher resolution. The larger the display device, the more pixels it has, and the more detailed the image you can see. The field of display devices is vast and exciting, and we use them to enjoy movies, play games, work, and learn new things.
