ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Distributed presence

Distributed presence means that someone can be “present” even if they are not in the same physical space as you. It can be used in virtual meetings and online learning spaces, so that everyone can feel like they’re in the same room, even if they are in different places. This works by connecting people's computers and allowing them to not just see but also hear and speak to each other, while they are far away.
