Dominance and submission

Dominance and submission is a type of power play between two people. It is a way for people to express themselves and explore their interests in a consensual, safe way. In this type of play, one person—who we call the dominant—has more control and the other person—who we call the submissive—has less control. The dominant can make decisions about how the two people interact and how the submissive behaves. The submissive is free to accept or reject any decisions the dominant makes, and the two people can work together to create a relationship that is mutually enjoyable, satisfying, and safe.
