ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Dominion (2018 film)

Okay kiddo, so there is a movie called Dominion released in 2018. It is all about how animals are treated in farming and other industries. Do you know what farming is? When we grow food and raise animals to get meat or milk.

Now, imagine you have a pet dog or a cat. They are your best friends, right? You love them and want them to be happy. But did you know that some people raise animals just to make money? And they don't care if the animals are happy or not?

In the movie Dominion, you can see how cows, pigs, chickens, and other animals are kept in small cages or pens. They are not allowed to move around freely like your pet. They might get sick or hurt, but nobody cares. They are just there to be killed and turned into food for people.

The movie shows how some workers are cruel to the animals. They hit them, kick them, or cut their tails without any reason. This is really bad, and it makes the animals sad and afraid.

The movie also talks about how we can help animals. We can choose to eat food that doesn't come from factory farms. We can choose to be kind to animals and treat them with respect.

So, Dominion is a movie that teaches us about how animals are sometimes mistreated and how we can make a difference by choosing to be kinder to them.
