Dong Son drum

The Dong Son drum is a very old instrument that people used to play a long, long time ago. It comes from a place in the world called Southeast Asia, which is kind of like a big area where there are lots of different countries all close together.

The drum has a really cool design on it made out of circles, lines, and different shapes. People say that some of the designs might be pictures of animals or plants that were important to the people who made the drum.

The drum itself is made out of a kind of metal that was used a lot back then called bronze. It's a special mixture of metals that makes it really strong and makes it sound really good when you hit it.

When people wanted to play the Dong Son drum, they would hold it up by two handles on each side and hit it with sticks. They could make different sounds depending on how hard they hit it and where they hit it on the drum.

Even though the Dong Son drum is really old and people don't really play it anymore, it' still really cool to look at and learn about because it tells us about how people used to make music a long, long time ago.
