Doré bar

A doré bar is a shiny and heavy bar made out of gold. Imagine a really big chocolate bar, but instead of chocolate, it's made out of gold! People who mine for gold will find a lot of tiny bits of gold in the rocks. These tiny bits are too small to use or sell individually, so they melt them all together to make a doré bar. It's like gluing together a bunch of little pieces of gold to make one big and pretty thing. The name "doré" actually means "golden" in French, which is why it's used to describe this special bar.
