Downgrade attack

A downgrade attack is a type of cyber attack that targets your computer's security system. In a downgrade attack, the hacker tries to make your computer's security system less secure by forcing it to use an older, weaker version of security protocols. This makes it easier for the hacker to gain access to your sensitive data. For example, if the hacker knows that your computer is using the most recent version of the TLS security protocol, they could try to force your computer to use an older version, which has known security vulnerabilities. By doing this, the hacker could gain access to your data or use it to launch other attacks.
