ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Drug-related crime

Drug-related crime is when someone breaks the law while they are using or selling drugs. So just like how you should not take candy from strangers (because that can be dangerous!), taking drugs can also be dangerous and make you do things that are not allowed.

For example, some drugs can make people feel like they can do anything they want and they might start to steal things or hurt other people without even realizing it. This is called being under the influence of drugs.

Sometimes people might also sell drugs to other people. This is when they give drugs to someone else in exchange for money. Selling drugs is also against the law and can get people in big trouble.

Drug-related crimes can happen in different places like on the street or in someone's home. Because of drug-related crime, police officers have to work hard to make sure everyone is safe and following the rules. It's important to remember that taking drugs and breaking the law is not okay and can have serious consequences. It's best to stay safe and stay away from drugs!
