ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Dual-flashlight plot

So, you know how flashlights have lights in them that help us see in the dark, right? Well, some flashlight makers decided that having two lights instead of just one was a good idea.

One light is really bright and can shine far away, like a spotlight. The other light is not as bright, but it helps light up things that are closer, like a big circle around you.

Now, imagine you're outside at night and you need to see something far away, but also need to keep an eye on what's around you. With the dual-flashlight plot, you can use both lights at the same time to do both of those things - shine the bright light where you need it, while still having some light around you to see what's close by.

It's kind of like having two flashlights in one, and it can be really helpful when you're trying to see things in the dark!
