Dunnage

Hey kiddo! Have you ever helped your parents pack things for a big trip or move? You know how sometimes you need to put something underneath the item you’re packing to make sure it doesn’t get damaged? That’s called dunnage!

Just like how you might put a soft blanket underneath a toy to keep it safe, dunnage is anything that helps protect and support things that are being transported. It could be packing peanuts, bubble wrap, or even wood planks.

When cargo is being loaded onto a ship or plane, it can move around a lot during transit. If it isn’t secured properly, it could get damaged or even cause accidents. That’s where dunnage comes in! It acts kind of like a cushion, helping to keep everything in place and protecting your precious cargo on its journey.

So, whether you’re shipping a bunch of toys to your friend in another country or packing up your family’s belongings to move to a new house, make sure you use dunnage to keep everything safe and sound!
