Easements in English law

In English law, an easement is like a special kind of permission. It’s a right which one person has to use another person’s land or property. For example, one person may have an easement which allows them to cross another person’s property to get to their own land. Another example would be an easement which allows someone to use a pipe or cable through another person’s land to get to their own land. An easement is like an agreement between the two people who own the land or property. The owner of the easement can use the other person’s land in specific ways, but the other person still owns the land.
