East Asian studies

East Asian studies is when we learn about countries in East Asia like China, Japan, and Korea. We learn about their history, culture, language, and other things that make them unique.

For example, in China, we might learn about the Great Wall of China which is a big wall that was built to protect the country. We might also learn about famous Chinese symbols like the dragon or the panda.

In Japan, we might learn about their beautiful gardens called Zen gardens or about their traditional clothing called kimonos. We might even learn some simple Japanese phrases like "hello" or "thank you".

In Korea, we might learn about their delicious food like kimchi or about their famous K-pop music. We might even learn to write Korean letters and how to say basic phrases like "goodbye" or "how are you?".

Overall, East Asian studies help us understand and appreciate these countries and their cultures.
