Ecological deficit

Ecological deficit is when we use more natural resources than the Earth can renew. It's like if we have a jar full of candy and we take 10 pieces of candy but only put back 8 pieces. This means that there are now only 8 pieces of candy left in the jar instead of 10, so we created a deficit. In the same way, when we use more natural resources than the Earth can replace, we create an ecological deficit.
