ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Economic Advisory Council

Well, young one, an economic advisory council is a group of people who give advice to a government or a leader about how to make their country's money and economy work better.

Imagine you have a little toy store, and you want to sell more toys and make more money. But you're not sure how to do it. What would you do? You could ask your older brother, your parents, or your teacher for advice.

Similarly, when a government or leader wants to make their country's money and economy grow and work better, they ask a group of smart people who know a lot about money and business. These people are called the economic advisory council.

They advise the government or leader by giving them ideas and suggestions on how to create jobs and improve the economy so that people can afford to buy more things like toys from your toy store.

So, just like you might ask your family or teacher for help in growing your toy store, the government or leader asks the economic advisory council for help in growing their country's economy.
