Economic materialism

Economic materialism is when people want to get as much money, things and possessions as they can. It means that people think that things and money can give them happiness and satisfaction. People who are materialistic focus their energy and efforts on getting and having things such as gadgets, cars, homes and expensive clothes. They believe that the amount of possessions they have reflects how successful they are.
